
No. The current fees will remain the same. Think about it this way: if you have a new vehicle and used to pay $12,000 for one year of fitness, that same fitness certificate will now be valid for five years. A breakdown of the new vehicle fitness validity timelines:
- New Vehicle – 5 Years
- 3 Years Old and Less – 3 Years
- More than 3 Years Old – 2 Years
- 10 Years and Older – 1 Year
Minister Vaz highlighted that the days of having stickers on your car and the paper certificate of fitness will be a thing of the past.
