Do you remember the days of standing in line at the tax office all day just to pay a ticket? The ability to pay a ticket online is a very recent phenomenon. There are all kinds of discussions today about productivity, and let me tell you this: a lot of time is wasted standing in lines. Luckily, those days are now behind us as the entire process can be done online. By the end of this article, you will know exactly how to look up and pay your traffic tickets online from anywhere in 15 minutes or less.
How To Look Up Traffic Tickets
Looking up your traffic tickets online is an easy process that only requires information found on your driver’s license. Go to the Traffic Ticket Lookup website and enter the information seen below, then select Retrieve Ticket.
Note Well: The driver’s license control number can be found on the back of the license to the bottom right. Your TRN number is also your Driver’s License Number.
After you have entered the information correctly and selected Retrieve Ticket, the Ticket Information page will be displayed. As long as the payment due date hasn’t passed, you can still pay for this ticket online.
How To Pay Your Traffic Ticket
Write the ticket number somewhere, as you will need it later. Visit the Taj website and login to access the traffic ticket payment options:
Select the eServices Tab, then Pay Traffic Ticket:
Write the ticket number from earlier and your driver’s license number, then select Show Amount:
Confirm the information regarding the traffic ticket and you. If everything looks ok, select Add To Today’s Tax Total:
Check the tax total page to see if everything is correct, then tick the Declaration of Review and select Pay Taxes:
You will be redirected to the Payment Gateway Page. Enter the card information requested and select Make Payment.
Note Well: You have 5 minutes to complete this transaction before the Payment Gateway closes.
Once all is well and the payment details are correct, the transaction should be Successful!
Congratulations! You just paid your traffic ticket without ever having to leave home. You will be redirected to the Payment Received Page. It is recommended that you select View Printable Statement of Payment and save the receipt as a PDF. Store that proof of payment somewhere reliable.

Just like that, your traffic ticket is now paid without ever stepping foot in a physical tax office. I used the web to showcase this; however, there is a mobile app for Android that you can download.
